OUR BEGINNING

Small Office Services opened in 1992 to serve  the small business with computers and software training. The training was conducted on rented premises and the classes were designed around specific applications such as MS Word*, Lotus 123*, etc., as needed. The computers were sold on a custom basis with the individual business or person in mind.

In 1993, owner Don Radford, decided to establish a retail store to expand upon and better fulfill the mission of Small Office Services. Our Mission Statement was "To provide the small office and it's people the Tools, Supplies, and Training to help them reach their maximum  potential." , and is still doing that today! Mr. Radford chose  Maple Valley, Washington, to begin retail operations. The location was small,  located in one of the main business sections of the area. 

In October of 1997 the store moved to it's second location with a larger space and better exposure to the community. In the  process of moving, the training classes were temporary suspended and since then we have done all training on site. While moving, we reconsidered our name, Small  Office Services, and asked ourselves if it best stated our objectives in serving  our customers. We added office supplies as one of our product categories, and  keeping the SOS logo, changed our name to SOS Computers & Office Supplies.

In early 1997 the Internet began to make an  impact on people, and the way they were conducting their businesses. SOS  COMPUTERS AND OFFICE SUPPLIES began by recommending a local service provider,  but in May 1999, SOS COMPUTERS & OFFICE SUPPLIES opened SOSnet.net, to add a greater service to, and for it's customers. 

In November 2000, SOS Computers & Office Supplies opened its Kent, WA store, at 23609 104 th Ave SE., on the Benson  Highway, on Kent's East Hill. In January 2001 customer shipping services were  added, and we added cellular phones to our product lines.

In March of 2001 we decided to operate only  out of our Kent location, and we closed the Maple Valley Store. We continue to service the area with free delivery on the office products, and other related  items.
